"Time to Talk"
Call to Action

The Time To Talk Initiative, developed in conjunction with the Time to Talk,  utilizes Performing Arts as a tool to promote social justice dialogue and community engagement and provides resources on ways to take immediate and long-term action to effect positive change. The initiative includes Time to Talk with Davalois Fearon, which consists of facilitated dialogues about race and dance workshops, such as Shedding, which was created in partnership with former Davalois Fearon Dance dancer Mikaila Ware.  Ware designed Shedding to be a gateway to discovery and authenticity. Centering BIPOC women+ identifying emerging artists, our time together will be spent exploring what it means to shed as a form of decolonizing the body, expanding ranges, and archiving discoveries
As part of this initiative, Time to Talk was presented at the 37th Annual National Conference on Race and Ethnicity. Click HERE for more information.
