Lift Up grew from Fearon’s Time to Talk graduate thesis and began an inquiry of unpacking the question Why Do I Dance the Way I Dance; which later expanded into the Finding Herstory Project.  Blending abstracted Dancehall and reggae-rooted movement with contemporary dance and improvisation, the ensemble work explores lineage, support, and repair.
