“What are you doing?” is a mixed improvised and choreographed work inspired by the Arts for Art's OUT FESTIVAL “The Future is Pissed,” which uses improvisation and choreography from my “Up/right” project to grapple with the idea of future generations being pissed off that the present generation is not doing more to combat environmental and social issues.  I chose this section because it is about lifting up our ancestors and the folks who came before us by turning it into the physical language of lifting each other up and the importance of having a community that will catch you when you fall. It is from my project “Lift up,” which was the seed for the “Finding herstory” project that led to the piece “What are you doing”.
