"Love Machine," created in response to Jasmine Murrell's exhibition The Serpent, The Medicine, and The Invisible Devil, was performed at an outdoor event curated by The Alice Austen House Museum to celebrate the exhibition’s closing, bringing together movement, sculpture, and community. Murrell’s work had transformed Alice Austen Park and the museum galleries with living sculptures, organic garments, and multimedia installations honoring ancestral plant-based rituals and the interconnection between humanity and the living world. As a longtime collaborator and friend, this event marked Dava and Murrell’s first post-pandemic collaboration since "For C.J."

In collaboration with Black and Brown artists, farmers, and botanists, Murrell crafts wearable sculptures and handwoven garments from organic materials. Worn by the performers in "Love Machine," these living sculptures embody transformation, celebration, and rooted resilience through a fusion of choreography and improvisation.
